“It will be interesting to see how far the current “liberal” Obama Democratic Administration will try to discredit, or even destroy, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange."

Another Pyrrhic Victory

In a superb article in The American Conservative, “Another Pyrrhic Victory,” Kenneth R. Rice II has some excellent observations concerning the newly elected Congress. Rice predicts more of the same GOP evasions and neocon equivocations regarding the Constitution and the welfare-warfare state that has characterized such hollow Republican-led “revolutions” of the past, yet remains guardedly optimistic that unco-opted elements of the grass roots Tea Party movement will continue to reject the unprincipled prescriptions of “the established Republican political class,” and hold these officials accountable for violations of the public trust and their constitutional oaths of office.
